Hideous Conditions at Long Beach Harbor, MS by Denise Rednour

August 7th, 2010 -- LONG BEACH MS - Very thick oil in and around the harbor at Long Beach, MS today. It's a very sad day indeed. The stench of dispersants and dead fish is in the air as well.

PLEASE, don't be fooled by mainstream media and politicians who are telling people it's over, it's safe to swim, and the seafood is harmless. All beaches in Mississippi remain open without cautions even. All waters are open to commercial and sport fishing of fin fish and shrimp. The only activity banned at the present is crab and oyster fishing.

  4. Hello Denise,

I wonder if you might send me an email. Our publication is going to run a story interviewing Jerry Cope (check out his Huffington Post piece about the Gulf) and it would appear that a severe clampdown has occurred with the mainstream news.

In short, we would like to post your pictures, and perhaps get a comment or two from you, as well.

We are a far flung environmental group, and no one involved earns any income from our efforts---just our dedication to disseminating the truth. We will be in a position to publish the article/interview over a wide platform of publications---we are in no position to compensate you for your photos, but will be happy to give you full credit and provide a link to your Coastal Warriors Forum.

    My email is john.woodworth@globalwarmingisreal.com
(check out the 'who we are' page---I'm down toward the bottom of the page.

Thanks for your time. You have my personal sympathies for enduring the brunt of this possibly worldwide calamity.

  5. Thank you SO much for documenting this. I can't imagine how painful it must be. I live way up in Vermont and have shed so many tears over this already. Now I just feel numb as I listen to Obama and the rest of them say that all the oil's gone except for 26% of it. I feel so betrayed by him. He promised to turn things around and hasn't. Hes just another flunky for the corporations.

I can't imagine what it is like to be right there, witnessing all that death- and knowing it never had to happen.

  6. Denise, thank you for this... truth. Im no fool, I knew things were much worse then the mainstream media has been saying but, my goodness, its awfull. I knew we were being lied to, how COULD it be as wonderful as they say?! A friend agreed after seeing your images and sent me your link. I need to know- is anyone getting sick there?

    Be safe.

  7. IT'S AMAZING TO THINK THAT ANYONE COULD BELIEVE THE CRAP THEY'RE TRYING TO FEED US. THE "COAST IS CLEAR" SPIN BP IS SELLING IS IS FOR SHEEP. THE GULF TRAGEDY WILL CONTINUE LONG AFTER THE NEWS CAMERAS ARE GONE. "A FLOCK OF ONE" IS A PROTEST SONG FOR THE WILDLIFE STRUGGLING TO SURVIVE. 8. To Anonymous: Yes, many are getting sick, myself included. Upper respiratory distress, nose bleeds, headaches, confusion, blurred vision, skin rashes, nausea, muscle ache and general flu-like symptoms.

  9. It's so sad. I can't believe that people trust in comments telling you can going on fishing on this conditions and let people swimming. Nobody tell the truth about the disaster. It's seems they think we are stupid or something like this. I am getting sick about all this, and I can't understand why they aren't doing nothing about this. It's terrible!

Thanks so much for your time and effort to bring us what the U.S. Government and BP does not want us to know.

  11. Dear Denise, thank you for your courage and work. I cry and pray daily for the Gulf and our Oceans...and do my best to keep people aware on my side of the world of this brutal cover up. Blessings and love to you.

  12. Denise,
This should be sent to media and government officials in direct refutation of their claim that the oil is gone. This is just sickening, and they've reopened the waters for commercial fishing? They plan to start drilling again also. How our government, "By the people and for the people" can let this lie stand to the detriment of you, your neighbors and a of the inhabitants of the ocean is beyond me & tells me that our government is completely corrupt. Thank you for filming these videos. May they stand as irrefutable evidence!!
